Movie Review:
The movie Achhut Kanya is among the oldest hindi bollywood films,
fascinating romantic love with family drama.The movie revolves around a
girl who is untouchable.Produced in 1930's the movie has its effect of
that time thinking and philosophy and which is reflected in story. Movie
starts from a railway crossing where a coming car has to stop for
coming train. A man is sitting
inside the car along with his wife. Soon they come across a small
temple and the man wonders when he looks at it. He comes out of the car
and goes to that temple. Then comes out his wife who insists him to
get back in the car, but they are interrupted by a ghostly old man. He
tells him to them that the temple is a memorial of a devi who was an
untouchable girl. Later he starts telling them the story behind this. Pratap (Ashok Kumar) who is a young
man and lives a happy lifestyle has fallen in love with a young woman
named Kasturi (Devika Rani). And how the villagers separated them what
did they do? Which makes the movie more interesting. Movie is nice and
is worth watching.
Music And Singers:
Music of the movie is composed by famous Saraswati Devi. Songs are sung in beautiful voices of Devika Rani, Ashok Kumar and Saraswati Devi.
